PHASE TWO — HELLFIRE DESCENT

Victoria did not return quietly.

She came down like a scarlet star.

The sky tore open in streaks of burning red as her descent engines ignited across the atmosphere.

CyroN elites cleared entire districts before she landed.

This time—

No hood.

No concealment.

Her armor was fully revealed — obsidian layered with glowing crimson fissures. The artificial Hellfire construct at her forehead pulsed violently, its energy unstable yet terrifyingly focused.

Historia stood in the open plaza.

Lightning crackled faintly around her shoulders.

Mira’s voice echoed over comms.

“Her energy output is spiking. This isn’t the same configuration.”

Victoria stepped forward slowly.

Her eyes locked onto Historia.

“This engagement concludes tonight.”

Historia raised her spear.

“Then stop hiding behind tactics.”

Victoria’s lips curved faintly.

“I never was.”

SECOND FIGHT — BERSERK HELLFIRE

Victoria moved first.

Not upward.

Forward.

Photon blades ignited in twin arcs, leaving streaks of searing red through the air.

Historia met her head-on.

Storm and hellfire collided in a blast that shattered surrounding structures.

Victoria fought differently this time.

No surgical distance.

No evasive patience.

Relentless pressure.

She forced close quarters.

Blade against spear.

Elbow strikes.

Knee locks.

Brutal, intimate combat.

Lagta surged within Historia.

Maintain efficiency.

“I am!”

But Victoria was driving her backward.

Not overpowering.

Provoking.

Every block cost energy.

Every lightning burst drained her reserves.

Victoria intentionally absorbed glancing strikes rather than avoiding them, forcing Historia to escalate output.

The Hellfire Xydos flared brighter.

Flames licked across Victoria’s armor, searing purple lightning away on contact.

“You’re hesitating,” Victoria murmured mid-clash.

Historia snarled.

“I’m not—!”

“You are.”

She twisted, driving a blade across Historia’s shoulder.

Energy gauge plummeted.

Victoria stepped back deliberately.

Gave her space.

Invited the storm.

“Show me the god you carry.”

Lagta roared within her.

Then demonstrate dominance.

Historia unleashed a full stormburst.

Lightning rained in catastrophic arcs.

The plaza cratered.

Buildings collapsed outward.

Victoria remained standing at the epicenter — charred, damaged, but smiling faintly.

“More.”

Historia’s life gauge screamed warnings.

Victoria pressed again.

Strike.

Counter.

Strike.

Drain.

Drain.

Drain.

Mira watched in horror from a nearby structure.

“She’s burning herself out!”

Victoria pivoted mid-spin and slammed a blade directly into Historia’s abdomen.

Not deep enough to shatter the Xydos.

Just deep enough to force another surge.

Historia screamed, lightning erupting uncontrollably.

Her gauge hit critical.

5%.

2%.

0%.

She collapsed.

Storm extinguished.

Silence.

Victoria stood over her.

Breathing steady.

Hellfire flickering.

She could have ended it.

One clean strike to the forehead.

Break the crystalline construct.

Shatter the storm.

Instead—

Her blade stopped inches away.

Something flickered across her eyes.

A memory.

A battlefield long ago.

A sister’s voice.

“…Historia…”

Her grip tightened.

Then loosened.

She withdrew the blade.

And stepped back.

“Pathetic,” she whispered.

Then she turned away.

MIRA’S DESPAIR

Mira ran to Historia’s body.

“No— no— not again—!”

Core inactive.

Neural signal absent.

Life: terminated.

The world narrowed.

Sound muted.

Her hands shook violently as she pressed them against Historia’s chest.

“Please— please— don’t leave me again—!”

Something stirred.

Not in the sky.

In the ground.

A breeze passed through the shattered district.

Soft.

Green.

Warm.

A voice entered Mira’s mind — not thunder.

Wind through leaves.

You carry grief like rot.

Mira froze.

“…who…?”

Lagta is reckless. He always was.

A sigh.

He called without knowing.

Mira’s breath caught.

“You know him?”

Once.

Silence.

Then gentle resolve.

Your plea is heard.

Mira collapsed to her knees.

“I’ll do anything. I’ll give anything. Just bring her back.”

The presence felt ancient.

Patient.

You are not asking for power.
You are asking for life.

A warmth spread through Mira’s chest.

Not violent.

Not consuming.

Rooted.

Then grow.

Energy flowed from her into Historia.

Green light threaded through shattered conduits.

Daiki answered.

Not because of war.

Because of an old storm’s SOS.

Historia’s core flickered.

Once.

Twice.

Then—

Reignited.

THIRD FIGHT — REALM OF CHAINED HORIZONS

Historia’s eyes snapped open.

They were dimmer.

Unstable.

Her armor cracked.

Her movements unsteady.

Victoria turned slowly.

“…Impossible.”

Historia stood.

Barely.

Lightning flickered weakly around her frame.

“You… don’t get… to walk away…”

Victoria studied her carefully.

“You are unstable.”

“Good.”

Victoria lunged.

Historia blocked too late.

Sloppily.

Weaker.

Victoria’s blade carved across her side.

Historia staggered.

Laughing through blood.

“You think… I didn’t notice?”

Victoria paused.

“You were draining me.”

Victoria did not deny it.

“You were going to let me burn myself out.”

Silence.

A flicker of something human in Victoria’s eyes.

Historia’s hand slammed into the ground.

“Then let’s both burn.”

The sky fractured.

Not with lightning.

With sound.

A deep metallic resonance rippled across the horizon.

Reality warped.

The battlefield dissolved.

They stood within—

A vast shattered sky.

Floating plates of broken earth suspended in endless void.

Chains extended from every direction, massive and luminous, anchoring the sky itself.

The horizon glowed with a ring of stormlight.

Victoria’s eyes widened.

“…What is this?”

Historia trembled violently.

Her energy barely holding.

“My world.”

Chains snapped outward.

They did not bind flesh.

They bound energy.

Every movement Victoria made pulled against invisible restraints.

Her Hellfire Xydos flared.

The chains tightened.

Draining.

Redirecting.

Victoria struck again, but her blade slowed.

Heavy.

Historia staggered forward, grabbing Victoria by the collar.

“This is what it feels like.”

Chains coiled around Victoria’s limbs, tightening as her energy bled into the sky itself.

The horizon brightened.

Victoria struggled violently.

For the first time—

Fear.

“Historia—”

The name slipped out.

Not designation.

Name.

Historia’s eyes burned with unfiltered rage.

She drove the spear through Victoria’s chest.

Not quick.

Not clean.

Slow.

Pushing deeper as chains constricted harder.

Victoria gasped.

Hellfire flickered.

Then dimmed.

“…I never… meant…”

Chains tightened once more.

And snapped.

Victoria collapsed.

The Realm shattered.

Reality returned.

Victoria lay motionless.

Historia stood over her sister’s body.

Breathing ragged.

Empty.

The storm above was silent.

ARRIVAL OF THE PRINCESS

A soft clap echoed from the edge of the ruined plaza.

Fenria stood there.

Calm.

Hands folded neatly.

“…How tragic.”

Her eyes glowed faintly dark.

“You both were always so inefficient.”

Historia turned slowly.

Exhausted.

Broken.

Mira stepped beside her.

Green energy faintly swirling around her fingertips.

Fenria smiled gently.

“Storm and seed.”

Her gaze sharpened.

“How quaint.”

The sky darkened once more.

Not from weather.

From observation.

The game had escalated.
